The Park's History

Prinarsky Park (“By the Nara”) is one of Serpukhov's city parks, created in 2014 on the site of a former vacant lot. It covers about 20 hectares (50 acres) on the left bank of the Nara River. The park's central alley leads toward the Vysotsky Monastery, and it offers picturesque views popular with townspeople and artists. The park quickly became a favorite spot for family outings. It also has a wedding tree, where newlyweds hang symbolic hearts.
