Only in Kimry!
The houses at 33, 38 and 40 Moskovskaya Street are also fine examples of a facade design found only in Kimry! One variety of Kimry architecture is distinguished by an attic shaped as a gentler gable-lucarne, its top cut off at an angle by a small half-hip slope of roof. The composition usually includes a round or semicircular attic window with stepped glazing, as well as bargeboards (“sail boards”) carved with half-suns and plant ornaments.
