History of the Place

The Cathedral of St. Andrew the First-Called is a modern building, built and consecrated in 2019. Still, it definitely deserves tourists' attention, because it was built in the tradition of medieval Russian wooden architecture — the famous tent-roof style. A special material was chosen: Siberian larch logs harvested in winter (to make them “ring”). The roofing is also in the Old Russian style, made of wooden shingles and boards of silvery aspen.
