Historical Background

Another source of pride for Chekalin is its House of Culture, built in 1982. In 2019 it was renovated: new furniture was bought, and the roof, facade, and interior were repaired. Today it is the town's cultural center. It hosts engaging tours, art exhibitions, and hobby groups. Its groups are open to people of all ages, from preschoolers to seniors, and they take part in various town and district events.
