There are viewpoints to the right and left of the dam with a good view of the spillway. The dam is where our walk to the legendary Yaropolets hydroelectric station begins. The unusual semicircular spillway on the Lama River, surrounded by old forest, is sure to catch your eye.
The water mill and its dam were built by Count Chernyshev's family.
