The Hekhtsir foothills lie at the foot of the Hekhtsir range in Khabarovsk District, roughly 12–30 kilometers (7.5–19 miles) south of Khabarovsk. The range rises above the Amur-Ussuri Lowland, a land beautiful for its variety of forests, rivers, and fields. On this motor route, visitors and Far East residents alike can enjoy a unique encounter with the untouched nature of the Russian Far East.

Where It All Begins

We start at the ATV 27 rental center. On the first floor of the building is a workshop where the vehicles are inspected and repaired, and on the second is a cozy space for guests. Instructors will meet you here and help you choose protective gear: a helmet, goggles, gloves, and warm clothing in the cold season. They will also offer you hot tea or coffee, everything you need for a comfortable ride. Before setting off, every guest goes through a mandatory safety briefing.

At the starting point, just a few steps from the rental center, ATVs and snowmobiles wait patiently. Here, on the threshold of adventure, all that's left is to climb into the saddle, take a deep breath of fresh Far Eastern air, and head off toward the boundless expanses of Hekhtsir.
