Klin is known as Tchaikovsky's town: the composer spent the last years of his life here. The atmosphere of a provincial district town, with wooden houses and quiet streets, has survived to this day. The town is surrounded by forests and lies on the road from Moscow to Tver. Visitors come for a relaxed stroll through the historic center and a look at the local heritage.

What It Is

In Klin, the family studio of Irina and Igor Sergunin is reviving the potter's craft. It quickly became popular with locals and visitors. The studio runs workshops for adults and children where you can try your hand at the potter's wheel and make something from clay, from tableware to decorative figurines. Its atmosphere invites creativity and calm.

Details and Atmosphere

The studio shop sells handmade pieces: glaze-painted tableware and unusual plates and jugs. The place owes its special charm to the friendly atmosphere created by the owners and to Styopa the parrot, a favorite with visitors. Because the studio is so popular, classes must be booked in advance.
