Background
To show viewers how well-off Marat's family was, the filmmakers used a 1953 stalinka (a Stalin-era apartment building) as his home: a handsome building with a tall archway and decorative details. Teenage gang members usually came from single-parent and poor families, so the case of Vova and Marat, the “Adidas” brothers, is exceptional. Why would kids who have everything shake down chushpans (outsiders with no gang) for small change on buses? But that's a topic for videos that psychoanalyze the show's characters.
