Overview

A park popular with tourists and locals alike, with walking areas, a fountain, a Tunnel of Love, illuminations, and more. Locals call the Flower Park the Lovers' Park or the Park of Wonders. It opened on September 17, 2017, on the Day of the Chechen Woman. It covers 4.5 hectares (11 acres). The park is named for the 150,000 flowers planted on its grounds, which are watered by a modern irrigation system.

Fun Facts

The Day of the Chechen Woman has been celebrated every year on the third Sunday of September since 2009. In 2017, for Grozny's 199th anniversary, a mass wedding was held in the park: 199 new families, one for each year of the city's history. Since by Chechen tradition the groom must not be seen by the relatives, only the brides were in the park, in snow-white wedding dresses. They became the park's first white flowers. The following year, for Grozny's anniversary, 200 couples were married here.
