Historical Background
In this house at 50 Pushkinskaya Street, which belonged to the peasant Pavel Alexandrovich Khitrov, Sergei Yesenin held his bachelor party. It wasn't a rowdy evening, though: local historians found out that the poet spent it alone on the balcony, writing something down. Why this house? Because the groom's wedding witness was the owner's son, Pavel Khitrov, who was also a friend of the Vologda poet Alexey Ganin.
