Description

The sculptural composition “Pushkin on the Road,” also known as “White Nights,” was installed on Mikhail Yaroslavich Embankment for the 175th anniversary of the poet's birth. Alexander Pushkin passed through the city almost 30 times and stopped in Tver four times. In the Tver land Pushkin fell in love, suffered, dreamed, and, of course, wrote.

About the Sculpture

The sculptor was Oleg Komov, and the architects were Nina Komova and Valery Frolov. The 3.5-meter (11.5-foot) bronze sculpture stands on a granite-faced pedestal 0.7 meters (2.3 feet) high.
