In its present form, with the main altar dedicated to St. Simeon the Stylite, the church has existed since 1771. It is mentioned in documents from 1628 onward and stands on Rostovskaya Street.
The church is an example of the so-called “Pereslavl Baroque.” Outwardly it resembles the famous Sukharev Tower in Moscow. The church's venerated relics are the icon of Our Lady of Kazan and the icon of St. Spyridon of Trimythous.
Since olden times people have come to this church, among other things, to pray to the Lord for material well-being. Unusual and surprising, but true.
