Down to the Monastery Embankment

We have walked through the three main points of Orthodox Syzran's “Triangle of Faith.” The first point is the three churches in the center of town. The second is the Elijah Church. The third is the Ascension Monastery.

And Finally…

Now let's look at the opposite bank. We see the Syzran Kremlin Hill in all its splendor, with the golden domes of its churches. According to legend, an underground passage once ran from the Spasskaya Tower to the Ascension Monastery. The passage has never been found, although people searched for it for a long time, believing that a treasure of jewels was hidden there. Having walked the “Triangle of Faith,” taking in picturesque natural views and the local churches, we realize that the true treasures lie within us.
