Historical Background
Wooden house No. 58 on Kommunisticheskaya Street was built in the early 20th century in the “wooden Art Nouveau” style. Its hallmarks are a beautifully crafted front facade and an abundance of decorative details. The house used to belong to the Pozdynin merchants: the brothers owned shops in Belozersk and boats that carried cargo to St. Petersburg.
