Belozersk is a town in Vologda Oblast mentioned as far back as the Primary Chronicle. Historical Background

Belozersk's first educational institution was a theological seminary. It was located inside the kremlin, at the Bishop's House. Under Soviet rule the theological school was closed and a general secondary school took its place. Today the building houses the A. A. Zhelobovsky Belozersk Industrial and Teacher Training College.

About the Architecture

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries a large three-story building in the eclectic style was put up in the kremlin for the school. A large extension was added later, designed to match the original part.
