Description
The Tver Travel Palace, a majestic historical and architectural ensemble, is rightly considered the jewel of the city. The palace was built on the grounds of the former Tver kremlin, on the site of the house of the former bishops of Tver. The building was erected in 1764–1766 in the Classical style with Baroque elements to a design by P. R. Nikitin. In the early 19th century the palace was rebuilt by K. I. Rossi.
